Amentum is seeking a Structural Engineer for our Oak Ridge, TN office. You will participate in the design process, develop design calculations (FEA), and create drawings and construction specs for steel, concrete, and masonry structures.

Ideal candidates have a B.S. in Structural/Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited school with 3–12 years of post‑education experience and a strong grasp of seismic design and governing codes. This role supports both in‑office and remote work within the US.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required to meet government requirements.
• ABET‑accredited B.S. in Structural/Civil Engineering.
• 3–12 years post‑education experience.
• Design with steel, concrete, masonry; seismic emphasis.
• Experience with IBC, AISC, ACI and ASCE codes.
• Able to use finite element software and learn new tools.
• Proficient in digital work and MS Office.
