Job summary

Jobgether SRL, listed on behalf of a partner, seeks a People Business Partner based in the United States. The role partners with people managers to steer performance, compensation, and employee relations in a fast-growing startup.

Reporting to the VP of People, you will shape manager development and drive people processes in a remote-first, fully remote environment. Ideal candidates have 7+ years HR experience, strong coaching, and a track record in compensation strategy and performance

Qualifications

• 7+ years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in an HR Business Partner role.
• Proven experience owning compensation administration and developing or evolving compensation strategies.
• Demonstrated experience designing and improving performance management methodologies.
• Proven ability to independently manage employee relations matters and conduct workplace investigations.
• Strong coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to build genuine partnerships with people managers and leadership.
• Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing competing priorities with minimal oversight.
• Based in the San Diego, CA area, with a preference for the ability to work in person 2–4 days per month.

Responsibilities

• Partner strategically with people managers, coaching them through performance conversations and team dynamics.
• Own the performance management process end-to-end, setting clear KPIs and addressing performance gaps.
• Own and improve the compensation strategy by analyzing market data and coordinating with Finance on plans.
• Work with leadership to resolve workplace issues affecting engagement, productivity, or morale.
• Design and deliver people manager training to strengthen current leaders and prepare future managers.
• Help improve People Operations policies and self-service resources around performance and compensation.
• Serve as the primary contact for employee relations and workplace investigations.
