Job summary

National Wildlife Federation seeks a Director of Conservation Partnerships to lead and coordinate strategic partnerships with affiliates and external partners. The role builds cross‑functional collaboration to advance conservation outcomes and national‑affiliates alignment.

The position emphasizes relationship management, fundraising insight, and a capacity for regional and national collaboration, including travel and stakeholder engagement across the federation.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills to ensure clear lines of communication across all levels.
• Experience with nonprofit governance, operations, communications, and fundraising principles.
• Ability to work independently and proactively identify opportunities and solutions.
• Strategic thinking and prioritization skills to balance multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to affiliate leaders, boards, and staff, guiding governance and strategic planning.
• Build and maintain robust partnerships with affiliate organizations to drive conservation outcomes.
• Coordinate with national policy, program, fundraising, and communications teams to align affiliate priorities.
• Identify funding opportunities and develop shared initiatives with affiliates.
• Facilitate affiliate-to-affiliate collaborations and convene key stakeholders across departments.
• Travel to affiliates as needed to support regional growth and engagement.
