Job summary

Affirm is a remote-first company redefining credit with honest financial products. We are seeking an Analytics Lead in Compliance Shared Services to own automated monitoring, translate regulations into data checks, and lead a data-centric approach to examinations and audits.

You will mentor a junior analyst, drive end-to-end analytics, and collaborate with Legal, Engineering, Product, and bank partners to expand coverage across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in compliance analytics or related data roles in financial services.
• Advanced SQL and modern cloud data stack (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) with automated pipelines.
• Knowledge of consumer credit regulations (TILA/Reg Z, ECOA/Reg B, EFTA/Reg E, FCRA, SCRA, MLA, TCPA).
• Ability to translate regulatory obligations into data logic and checks.
• Experience training or guiding junior analysts and coaching for independence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate technical findings for legal and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, operation, and governance of automated compliance monitoring and audit-ready evidence.
• Serve as primary data owner for regulatory examinations, licensing audits, and bank partner exam requests.
• Triage monitoring exceptions and data anomalies; route findings to resolution paths and validate fixes.
• Map automated checks to regulatory requirements and maintain the control inventory.
• Drive the automation roadmap; build scalable pipelines and self-service tools with AI-assisted development.
• Steward the compliance data environment: source of truth, data quality, access control, and documentation.
• Provide day-to-day technical direction and coaching for a supporting data analyst.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Legal, Product, Internal Audit, and bank partners to expand coverage across products and jurisdictions.
