Qualifications

• Familiarity with disability claim management concepts.
• Superior customer service skills with empathy.
• Ability to work independently in remote environment while remaining engaged.
• Good understanding of medical terminology/pathology/anatomy.
• Articulate verbal and writing skills; able to meet deadlines and handle confidential information.
• Moderate skills with Microsoft Office and other software.
• Stress tolerance and high attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidence to make claim decisions; results-driven.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a superior level of genuine caring and empathetic customer service throughout all interactions and earns trust.
• Makes timely STD/AM claim decisions; gathers clinical, vocational, employer, financial information and renders decisions quickly.
• Documents the claims system accurately; maintains compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborates with internal partners to support a positive work environment and high morale.
• Performs other related duties as required.
