Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in social work or related field is required.
• Master's degree preferred and licensure where applicable.
• 3+ years of related experience in social work or disability/insurance settings is expected.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for claimants and connect them to community services such as financial aid, legal aid, and housing.
• Develop and implement programs to improve comfort and care for patients and families.
• Provide emotional support to clients dealing with trauma, illness or disability as it relates to the claim.
• Explain the claims process and provide clear communication to claimants.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, client interactions and referrals.
• Comply with departmental procedures and organizational practices.
