Grafana Labs is hiring a Staff Software Engineer - SRE to improve reliability of Grafana Cloud databases (Mimir, Loki, Tempo, Pyroscope) hosted on AWS, GCP and Azure. You will own production reliability for high-SLA environments, collaborate with embedded product squads, and design automation to scale reliability practices across tenant environments.

You will lead incident response, help define SLOs, and drive instrumentation and automation improvements.

Formación

• 8+ years engineering experience, 4+ in SRE/production engineering
• Strong Kubernetes in AWS, GCP, or Azure; IaC tooling
• Experience leading teams and mentoring engineers
• Experience operating multi-tenant systems in production
• Experience designing and implementing SLOs
• Proficient in Go, Python, or Java
• Solid knowledge of Linux internals, networking, cloud storage
• Strong problem-solving, incident response, and PIR writing skills

Responsabilidades

• Own production reliability for high-SLA environments
• Design and implement automation to scale reliability practices
• Define and evolve per-tenant SLOs and reliability models
• Lead on-call and incident response, post-incident reviews
• Collaborate with product engineering teams and contribute to design docs
• Influence product design for scalability and operability
• Build automation to reduce toil and improve observability
• Mentor engineers and drive proactive reliability initiatives
