Job summary

NetDocuments is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to shape the next generation of our document management platform. This remote, full-time role focuses on delivering production-grade full-stack solutions using React, TypeScript, Node.js, C#/.NET, and AWS.

You will lead architectural discussions, design event-driven systems with Kafka, and collaborate with product and design to drive scalable, secure, and high-quality engineering outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years software engineering experience.
• 3+ years technical leadership.
• Proficient in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
• Backend in C#/NET or Java; Node.js.
• Experience with AWS, DynamoDB/DocumentDB, SQL.
• Experience designing REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with Kafka, logging/metrics/telemetry.
• CI/CD and automated testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical direction and architectural discussions across frontend, backend, and distributed systems.
• Architect and build production‑grade full stack apps using React, TypeScript, Node.js, C#/.NET, and AWS.
• Design event‑driven architectures with AWS services, Kafka, and data pipelines.
• Ensure security, reliability, and performance at scale.
• Mentor engineers and share knowledge through code reviews and documentation.
