Job summary

NetDocuments seeks a Staff Software Engineer – Solstice to lead technical direction and deliver scalable, production-grade full-stack solutions. You will own architectural decisions across frontend, backend, and distributed systems, working with React, TypeScript, Node.js, C#/.NET, and AWS to build secure, reliable platforms.

You will guide event-driven design, integrate AI-powered services, and ensure performance and scalability while mentoring engineers and driving engineering excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering delivering production-grade apps at scale.
• 3+ years of technical leadership and influencing engineering direction.
• Strong backend development with C#/.NET or Java and TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience designing and operating event-driven, service-oriented, microservices architectures.
• Experience building distributed, cloud-native systems with AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3).
• Experience with NoSQL and relational SQL databases.
• Strong REST and GraphQL API design, security, and versioning.
• Experience with Kafka or similar event streaming.
• Experience implementing logging, metrics, tracing, and telemetry for production systems.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural discussions and set engineering standards for Solstice across frontend, backend, and distributed systems.
• Architect and build production-grade full-stack apps using React, TypeScript, Node.js, C#/.NET, and AWS.
• Design event-driven architectures using AWS, Kafka, and modern data pipelines.
• Build responsive UIs and scalable REST/GraphQL APIs powering product experiences.
• Integrate AI-powered services to enhance document intelligence and user productivity.
• Ensure reliability, security, and performance as the platform scales globally.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering practices across the team.
• Collaborate with Product/Design to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
