Job summary

Trellix is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead architecture and development of a high-performance Cloud Threat Detection Platform. You will drive design of submission pipelines, microservices, and analytics interfaces in a secure AWS environment, collaborating across threat research and engineering teams.

Hybrid role with the option to work from Frisco, TX and remote US regions. Expect leadership in end-to-end software delivery, SDL practices, and AI-assisted tooling

Qualifications

• 11+ years of professional software development experience.
• AWS cloud expertise with large-scale systems.
• Linux proficiency; shell scripting.
• Proficiency in Python (FastAPI/Django/Flask).
• Strong REST and async Web APIs with high throughput.
• Knowledge of C/C++ for interfacing with low-level engines; Go preferred.
• CI/CD pipelines and IaC (GitHub Actions, Terraform, AWS CDK/CloudFormation).
• Web UI/Full-Stack with React, HTML/CSS/JS.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Cloud Threat Detection Platform components.
• Build high-throughput microservices and submission pipelines.
• Develop analyst dashboards and web interfaces.
• Design secure AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway).
• Incorporate AI tooling into development and review workflows.
• Ensure security, SDL compliance, and FedRAMP-aligned controls.
