Job summary

Trellix is hiring a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead the design and development of our Cloud Threat Detection Platform. You will architect high-throughput pipelines, submission engines, analyst UIs, and microservices, all within secure AWS infrastructure, and work across bold AI-enabled tooling.

This hybrid role requires comms with Frisco, TX-area teams and a strong track record in large-scale systems, security, and end-to-end ownership.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep AWS cloud architecture knowledge for large-scale systems.
• Linux proficiency and shell scripting ability.
• Strong Python development skills with FastAPI/Django/Flask.
• Experience with REST and asynchronous web APIs handling millions of requests.
• Full-stack web experience with Django/React and front-end stack.
• CI/CD and IaC experience with GitHub Actions, Terraform, AWS CDK/CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of security standards (OAuth2, JWT, SAML) and FedRAMP basics.
• Experience integrating AI tooling into development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the Cloud Threat Detection Platform and high-throughput submission pipelines.
• Build resilient microservices and dynamic sandbox execution components.
• Develop modern web UIs and analyst dashboards using React and Django.
• Architect and manage secure AWS infrastructure and multi-region deployments.
• Leverage AI tooling to speed code reviews, debugging, and delivery lifecycles.
• Implement secure API boundaries, identity mechanisms, and compliance controls.
• Own production issues end-to-end with RCA, fixes, and SLA adherence.
