Job summary

Trellix is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead the design and development of a high-performance Cloud Threat Detection Platform. You will architect and engineer high-throughput pipelines, submission engines, and microservices, leveraging secure AWS cloud infrastructure and modern AI tooling.

The role is hybrid with the option to commute to Frisco, TX 3-4 days a week, and requires deep expertise in cloud platforms, full-stack development, and security best practices.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep AWS cloud architecture knowledge for large-scale systems.
• Linux proficiency and shell scripting.
• Proficient in Python development with FastAPI/Django.
• REST and async APIs handling millions of requests.
• C/C++ for interfacing with low-level engines.
• CI/CD and IaC with GitHub Actions, Terraform, AWS CDK.
• Full-stack web skills: Django, React, HTML/CSS/JS.
• Security and FedRAMP/compliance knowledge.
• Experience integrating AI tooling into development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the Cloud Threat Detection Platform and submission pipelines.
• Build high-throughput microservices and dynamic sandbox execution.
• Develop analyst web interfaces and microservices processing millions of requests daily.
• Architect and manage end-to-end AWS infrastructure (VPCs, ALB/ELB, Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, etc.).
• Implement secure API boundaries, OAuth2/JWT/SAML.
• Ensure SDL, vulnerability assessments, and FedRAMP compliance.
