Job summary

Groups Recover Together seeks a Staff Provider in Tennessee with remote/telemedicine duties to support rapid-access intakes and early recovery care. You will manage intake, prescribe buprenorphine/naloxone, coordinate with providers, and maintain records while delivering patient-centered care via telemedicine.

Qualifications

• Physician, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with active state license.
• Willing and able to become licensed in multiple other states where Groups operates or will operate soon.
• Willingness and ability to credential with all government and private health plans.
• Ability to see member in-person at several state locations.
• At least 1 year of experience managing OUD with buprenorphine.
• At least 1 year experience working in a team-based-care setting with behavioral health providers.
• At least 2 years experience working with a similar member population.
• Adequate internet connectivity to support telemedicine.
• Access to reliable internet and telephone services with strong WiFi at remote location.
• (Illinois only) COVID-19 vaccination compliance as required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to clinical policies and procedures as outlined in manuals.
• Intake medical duties and determine medical necessity; prescribe buprenorphine/naloxone as appropriate.
• Maintain a regular intake telemedicine schedule across geographies.
• Complete intake documentation thoroughly and accurately.
• Initiate MAT during early weeks of treatment.
• Coordinate with community providers for transitions to Groups.
• Collaborate with providers to transition care to maintenance groups.
• Escalate to medical leadership as needed.
• Maintenance: manage a panel and meet monthly provider groups; contact patients monthly.
• Be available by phone and email for medical issues between visits.
• Pre-scheduled individual telemedicine visits as required.
• Medical Records: maintain HIPAA-compliant records.
• Makeup groups and 1:1 sessions; cross-coverage when colleagues are unavailable.
• On-call coverage for urgent prescription needs; monitor prescription monitoring database.
• Administrative duties ~15%: documentation, signing prescriptions, scheduling, policy familiarity, onboarding, pilot initiatives.
