Groups Recover Together in West Virginia seeks a Staff Provider to deliver rapid-access telemedicine and early treatment support for members.

You will conduct intakes, determine medical necessity, prescribe buprenorphine/naloxone where appropriate, and coordinate transitions to maintenance care. This remote role emphasizes member-first care, HIPAA compliance, and contributing to new medical service lines across markets. Flexibility and reliability are essential to keep members safe and engaged.

Qualifications

• Active state license in good standing is required.
• Willing to become licensed in multiple states where Groups operates.
• Willingness to credential with government and private health plans.
• Ability to see members in-person at multiple state locations.
• At least 1 year of experience managing OUD with buprenorphine.
• At least 1 year in a team-based care setting with BH providers.
• At least 2 years with a similar member population (primary care or BH).
• Adequate internet connectivity to support telemedicine.
• Reliable internet with 10M download and 5M upload; strong WiFi.
• Demonstrated recovery-sensitive behaviors and professional communication.
• Illinois COVID-19 policy compliance may be required for some locations.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to clinical policies and procedures per GRS Manual.
• Conduct intake medical duties.
• Prescribe buprenorphine/naloxone for treatment as appropriate.
• Maintain regular intake shifts for rapid-access telemedicine.
• Complete intake documentation thoroughly and promptly.
• Initiate MAT during weeks 1–4 of treatment.
• Coordinate with community providers for transitions.
• Collaborate to transition members to maintenance groups.
• Escalate situations to medical leadership as needed.
• Maintain a panel of maintenance members and attend monthly provider groups.
• Meet with patients on buprenorphine at least every 30 days (group + 1:1).
• Be available by phone and email between visits.
• Meet for pre-scheduled individual telemedicine visits when needed.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical records.
• Provide makeup groups and cross-coverage for colleagues.
• Participate in on-call coverage for urgent prescriptions.
• Facilitate access to prescription drug monitoring databases.
• Administrative duties (≈15%): documentation, sign prescriptions, manage schedule, onboarding, pilot initiatives.
