Job summary

The Evernorth Health Services Staff Pharmacist role is a remote, licensed position supporting patient care across designated states. Training lasts about 8 weeks with set ET hours, then fixed schedules per placement. You must reside and be licensed in AZ, FL, IN, OH or PA to be considered.

Responsibilities include interpreting prescriptions, coordinating with prescribers, ensuring accuracy, training technicians, and maintaining quality. Competitive hourly pay and eligible bonuses apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required.
• PharmD preferred.
• Current active resident pharmacist license in good standing.
• Strong customer service, quality and accuracy.
• Ability to work flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients regarding the use of medications and potential drug interactions.
• Contact physicians for new and/or transfer authorization.
• Collaborate with physicians to convert prescriptions to generic or preferred drugs whenever possible.
• Interpret physicians' or prescribers' prescriptions.
• Contact doctors and/or patients to verify information on prescriptions to expedite processing of orders.
• Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.
• Verify and confirm validity of controlled substances.
• Verify prescription information entered in the system.
• Back up other pharmacists as needed and train less experienced staff.
