Accredo Specialty Pharmacy is recruiting a Staff Pharmacist for a remote US role with Arizona residency requirements. Training is 2–3 months, with shifts 9am–6pm EST during training and flexible EST hours thereafter for AZ residents.

The role emphasizes quality, accuracy, and customer service while coordinating with physicians and families. The candidate will verify prescriptions, manage order status, and may train junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.
• Interpret prescriptions and verify drug names/strengths to expedite orders.
• Contact doctors or patients to verify prescription details and resolve issues.
• Verify the validity of controlled substances.
• Ensure accurate prescription data entry in the system.
• Coordinate with physicians for new or transfer authorizations.
• Assist with converting prescriptions to generic or preferred drugs when possible.
• Consult with patients on medication use and interactions.
• Back up other pharmacists and train less experienced staff.
