Job summary

ASK Consulting seeks a Staff Pharmacist for an onsite role in Tempe, AZ. You will compound and dispense medications, oversee pharmacy technicians, and ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines.

The role requires a PharmD or B.S. Pharmacy from ACPE-accredited school and a current AZ pharmacist license. You may train less experienced pharmacists and must be flexible with closing shift timings.

Staff Pharmacist - Onsite in Tempe, AZ

Location: This position is onsite at our Tempe, AZ location.

Address: 2040 West Rio Salado Pkwy, Tempe, AZ, 85281

Schedule: Monday through Friday 10:30am - 7pm (this is closing shift, so have to be flexible with an end time that ranges to 7pm, 7:30pm, 8ish)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for compounding and dispensing medications within corporate and regulatory guidelines. The Staff Pharmacist will track order status. The Staff Pharmacist may also train less experienced pharmacists. This position will require product verification and the ability to be flexible.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.
• Manage workflow of technicians and production clerks
• Verify orders from filling technicians
• Program medication infusion pumps
• Calculate proper dosing to confirm prescription accuracy
• Back up other pharmacists as needed, perform additional duties as assigned by management, or train less experienced pharmacists.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of ACPE Accreditation School of Pharmacy with a B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm.D, degree is required
• Current resident pharmacist license in good standing is required
• Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions.
• Strong focus on quality and accuracy.
• Ability to manage timelines and meet tight client deadlines.
• Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
• Specialty Pharmacy experience NOT required
• Retail/Mail Order pharmacy experience preferred
