Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for a remote role requiring licensure in AZ, FL, IN, or OH. During an 8-week training period, hours are 8:30 am–5 pm EST, Monday–Friday. After training, the schedule includes a weekday shift with one evening shift, all in EST.

You will verify prescriptions, communicate with prescribers, assist patients with medications and interactions, and help maintain production and service levels. Training may include mentoring less experienced pharmacists.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients regarding medication use and interactions.
• Contact physicians for new or transfer authorizations.
• Collaborate to convert prescriptions to generics or preferred drugs.
• Interpret prescriptions and verify information for processing.
• Verify prescription data accuracy in the system.
• Back up pharmacists and train less experienced staff.
