Job summary

The Cigna Group offers a remote Staff Pharmacist position with license requirements in AZ, IN, FL, PA, or OH, and a start date of 11/16/2026. Training lasts six weeks, with 9:00–5:30 ET weekdays and staggered schedules by state.

Remote work allows flexibility, including occasional home-based shifts. The Staff Pharmacist will review prescriptions, contact prescribers, advise on drug interactions, ensure accurate order processing, supervise technicians, and mentor less experienced pharmacists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required
• PharmD preferred
• Current active resident pharmacist license in good standing
• Advanced problem-solving and collaborative skills
• Good oral and written communication
• Ability to interpret prescriptions
• Customer service focus
• Ability to manage timelines
• Flexible schedule for peak times

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients regarding the use of medications and potential drug interactions
• Contact physicians for new and/or transfer authorization
• Collaborate with physicians to convert prescriptions to generic or preferred drugs
• Interpret prescriptions and verify information to expedite processing
• Provide oversight to pharmacy technicians while ensuring quality assurance
• Back up other pharmacists and train less experienced staff
