Job summary

Dragos, Inc. is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to drive production ML design and deployment within the Dragos platform, collaborating with Data Engineers and product teams to enhance threat detection and automate security analysis for ICS/xOT applications.

The role emphasizes scalable ML pipelines across cloud and on-prem environments, MLOps practices, and leveraging NLP/LLM techniques to deliver actionable intelligence in critical infrastructure cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of engineering experience, with 4+ years in production ML.
• Strong Python and SQL foundations; additional language (Go/Rust/Java).
• Experience building and deploying ML systems using modern frameworks (scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace).
• Experience with LLMs, RAG, or NLP techniques is beneficial.
• Proven ML solutions with measurable business impact; strong MLOps practices.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, streaming, and containerized/cloud-native architectures.
• Cybersecurity domain knowledge, especially threat detection.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement production-grade ML systems for Dragos products.
• Build and optimize ML model architectures for ICS/OT use cases.
• Develop robust data pipelines and ML workflows for real-time and batch processing.
• Collaborate with OT experts to translate research into scalable ML systems.
• Establish data contracts, observability, versioning, and deployment best practices.
• Contribute to ML infrastructure improvements, including CI/CD and testing frameworks.
• Evaluate state-of-the-art ML research and open-source models for cybersecurity applications.
• Troubleshoot and optimize ML performance in production for latency and accuracy.
