Dragos is seeking a Machine Learning Application Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role blends data engineering and applied ML, focusing on leveraging existing model types within our product and data pipelines.

You will collaborate with AI Engineers, Data Engineers, and product teams to bring ML-driven capabilities into the Dragos platform. You will work on clustering network behaviors, asset classification, and surfacing anomalies that matter for ITS/OT security analysts; script in

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in production ML/data pipelines.
• Strong Python skills and SQL proficiency.
• Hands-on experience applying ML techniques (clustering, classification, anomaly detection).
• Familiarity with scikit-learn and Python ML ecosystem; not required to implement neural nets.
• Solid understanding of data pipelines, data flow, transformations, failures, and observability.
• Ability to evaluate model outputs for trustworthiness in real use cases.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Cybersecurity domain knowledge in threat detection or ITS/OT is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply clustering, classification, anomaly detection to cybersecurity data problems in the ISIS/OT domain.
• Integrate ML model outputs into existing data pipelines and product workflows (batch and near-real-time).
• Translate model outputs into reliable pipeline components.
• Ensure ML-driven stages have data contracts, observability, and sane failure modes.
• Evaluate open-source/third-party models for fit to use cases; know when to build a model.
