Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Staff Engineer, Hardware Design to lead the physical design and layout of complex PCBs for AI hardware. You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, power, and manufacturing teams to meet signal integrity, thermal, and mechanical objectives.

You will drive design reviews, mentor junior designers, and own manufacturing release packages from Gerber to BOM, ensuring IPC/EMI/EMC compliance and DFx guidelines are followed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of PCB layout and design experience on complex boards.
• Strong knowledge of SI/PI and EMI/EMC requirements.
• Experience leading design reviews and mentoring junior designers.

Responsibilities

• Lead layout, routing and placement of high-density PCBs (12–28+ layers).
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and thermal teams to optimize form factor and thermal management.
• Ensure designs meet DFx guidelines (DFM, DFA, DFT) and IPC standards.
• Generate manufacturing release packages (Gerber/ODB++, BOM, drawings).
• Mentor and guide junior layout designers and review hardware designs.
