Job summary

Cerebras Systems seeks an exceptional PCB Layout Lead to own the physical implementation of complex, high-performance PCBs for AI systems, translating schematics into production-ready layouts while optimizing signal integrity, power, thermal, reliability, and manufacturability.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, SI/PI, thermal, and manufacturing teams to define stackups, routing constraints, and ensure alignment with fabrication partners from prototype through production,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of hands-on multi-layer PCB layout experience.
• Expertise with Cadence Allegro PCB Designer and Constraint Manager; Altium is a plus.
• Strong component placement, controlled-impedance routing, differential pairs and length matching.
• Experience with dense BGA escape, blind/buried vias, microvias, via-in-pad and backdrilling.
• Knowledge of signal/power integrity, EMI/EMC, thermal design, creepage and clearance.
• Experience applying IPC standards for fabrication, assembly, test and manufacturability.
• Ability to produce complete PCB fabrication/assembly release packages.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-discipline environment.
• Experience with server hardware, AI accelerators, datacenters or related platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own multilayer PCB layout from initial placement to fabrication and release.
• Translate schematics and constraints into constraint-driven board designs.
• Define stackups, controlled-impedance routing, reference planes and matching constraints.
• Route high-speed digital, high-current power, and sensitive analog circuits including BGA fanout.
• Apply SI/PI best practices to minimize noise, crosstalk and EMI.
• Collaborate across electrical, mechanical, thermal, compliance, manufacturing and test teams.
• Work with fabrication/assembly partners to optimize materials and yield.
• Perform design reviews and release packages (Gerbers, ODB++, IPC-2581).
• Maintain footprints, padstacks, libraries, and release docs.
• Support prototypes through production and layout revisions.
