Job summary

Celestica Inc. seeks a Staff Engineer, Hardware Design to lead the physical layout of high-density PCBs from schematics to manufacturing. You will work with hardware, power, mechanical and manufacturing teams to meet signal integrity, thermal and EMI/EMC constraints, and you will mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities include routing with impedance control, PDN optimization, and producing complete release packages including BOMs and fabrication drawings. Strong IPC and DFx knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in PCB layout and design for high-performance hardware.
• Experience with complex, high-density boards (12–28+ layers).
• Knowledge of IPC standards and manufacturing constraints.

Responsibilities

• Lead layout, routing and component placement of high-density PCBs.
• Ensure impedance, length matching and differential pair constraints.
• Collaborate with power, mechanical and manufacturing teams to optimize designs.
• Develop and enforce DFx guidelines; participate in design reviews.
• Prepare Gerber/ODB++ files, fabrication and assembly drawings, BOMs.
