Ladders is seeking a Staff Engineer - Client Services for a REMOTE US-based role in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. You will lead the technical direction for client-facing services and architect scalable backend solutions to support a high-growth consumer business.

You will mentor engineers, drive architecture decisions, and ensure reliable delivery from concept through deployment, partnering with product, engineering and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing and building scalable backend services.
• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java with willingness to switch to Kotlin.
• Experience with modern backend frameworks and testing.

Responsabilités

• Lead technical planning, design, and development of product features from inception to deployment.
• Drive technical excellence and establish best practices in code quality and system design.
• Perform thorough technical design and code reviews to uphold quality, reliability, and security standards.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical ownership and innovation across teams.
• Coordinate multi-team projects, representing technical decisions in cross-functional forums.
• Define and implement testing strategies for client-side features to ensure high quality.
• Guide operational best practices to improve system reliability and observability.
