Job summary

Ad Hoc LLC is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to lead secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for mission-critical federal digital services. You will partner with software engineers, security, and leadership to automate delivery, improve reliability, and drive operational excellence.

You will design IaC, build CI/CD pipelines, and implement monitoring and incident response. The role requires 5+ years in DevOps/SRE, strong AWS/Kubernetes experience, and US citizenship for DHS public trust.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years in DevOps/SRE.
Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps tools.
Experience with IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible or similar.
Experience administering AWS cloud environments and cloud-native infra.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS) or other container orchestration.
Strong networking, Linux/Windows, storage, and infra architecture knowledge.
Experience with monitoring/observability and security-focused pipelines.
US Citizenship with the ability to obtain DHS Public Trust.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for federal digital services.
Lead IaC and CI/CD automation to improve delivery speed and reliability.
Collaborate with engineering to ensure secure, compliant software delivery.
Mentor engineers on DevOps practices and cloud technologies.
Support cloud migrations, modernization, and platform optimization.
Guide architecture reviews and production support activities.
