Job summary

ZayZoon is seeking a Staff Designer to own the design system end-to-end, including tokens, patterns, documentation, governance, and the engineering partnership.

You will mentor other designers, collaborate closely with design, product, and engineering, and ensure production HTML, CSS, and React align with design intent. This role emphasizes scalable design and measurable product impact.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product design experience with growth/experimentation focus.
• Experience shipping design systems at scale.
• Frontend fluency in HTML, CSS, and React.
• Collaborative, cross-functional work with engineers, PMs and stakeholders.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to tie design decisions to business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own design system end-to-end: tokens, patterns, documentation, governance and engineering partnership.
• Mentor designers with structured feedback and guidance.
• Define quality standards for accessibility and visual consistency across the product.
• Bridge design and implementation, ensuring what ships matches what was designed.
