Job summary

ZayZoon in a fully remote setup across the US and Canada is seeking a Senior Developer who will own features end-to-end—from back-end architecture to front-end delivery, testing, and demos. You’ll ship high-quality code and bring craft to every release.

You’ll collaborate with product, care, and finance, tackle scale and data challenges, and mentor teammates while embracing agile practices and a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on Ruby on Rails experience with production apps.
• Strong frontend fundamentals with React knowledge.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Solid engineering fundamentals and testing practices.
• Full-stack ownership from backend to frontend, including tests and demos.
• Experience with scale, concurrency, and data ingestion.
• Agile fluency: sprint planning, stand-ups, and backlog grooming.
• Ability to balance speed and maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain core web and mobile features end-to-end.
• Tackle complex engineering problems with data-driven decisions.
• Integrate and maintain third-party tools and services.
• Collaborate across Product, Customer Care, and Finance.
• Mentor teammates through code reviews and pairing.
• Leverage AI to streamline processes.
• Contribute to a secure, well-structured SDLC with maintainable code.
