Zscaler is seeking a Staff Product Designer for the Design System to evolve our design ecosystem. This hybrid role (3 days at San Jose HQ) reports to the Senior Manager, Product Design in Product Management.

You will define visual, interaction, and structural standards across Zscaler's product surfaces, collaborating with design and engineering teams. You will drive scalable components, tokens, and governance to ensure consistency and quality across products, leveraging AI in daily workflows and

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in Product Design with 2+ years building enterprise-grade Design Systems.
• Experience partnering with engineering and design to align on Design System goals.
• Deep fluency in token architecture, theming, WCAG accessibility, and responsive design.
• Comfort reading code to understand implementation details.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine scalable components and patterns for consistency and efficiency.
• Contribute to and refine the Design System end-to-end (tokens, components, docs, governance).
• Leverage AI-powered tools to generate, iterate, and launch live prototypes.
• Streamline design-to-code handoff with improved documentation.
