Job summary

ZOCA is seeking a frontend engineer with 4–6 years of experience who thinks like a product designer and ships fast. You’ll own the customer-facing surfaces, shaping how they look, move, and behave, not just implementing pixels from a Figma file.

You will work in React and TypeScript, contribute to a growing design system, and ensure accessibility and performance are first-class concerns while collaborating with product, design, and the founders.

Qualifications

• Strong React and TypeScript fundamentals with hands-on production work.
• A portfolio of frontend work you’re genuinely proud of.
• Experience shaping user interfaces with typography, spacing, hierarchy, motion and interactions.
• Ability to design and prototype directly in code and start from rough ideas, not polished mocks.

Responsibilities

• Build and own core product surfaces in React/TypeScript from sketch to production.
• Prototype directly in code to validate ideas before committing to a full build.
• Refine details that separate good from exceptional UX: typography, spacing, motion, interactions.
• Grow and maintain a coherent design system that keeps the product cohesive.
• Handle loading, empty, error, offline states across desktop and mobile with accessibility in mind.
• Collaborate with product, design, and founders to prioritize what’s worth building.
