Job summary

Kindred is seeking a Head of Product Design to lead our design and research team, owning the end-to-end member experience across web and mobile. You will collaborate with cross-functional leaders to chart the product direction and raise the bar on quality and speed.

You are AI-native, with 12+ years in design and 5+ years leading teams, and you will partner with marketing/brand while scaling design systems to support growth. Remote-first with HQ in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in product design with 5+ years leading teams.
• Experience leading cross-functional design, research, and content/writing.
• Proven partnerships with marketing and brand.
• Deep experience building and scaling design systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a cross-disciplinary design team spanning product design, research, and content/UX writing.
• Set the design vision and strategy for Kindred, aligned with company strategy across product, engineering, marketing and operations.
• Own the quality bar for the member experience, including new surfaces and finish details, and build scalable design systems and tooling.
• Lead an AI-native design practice: set standards for AI use in prototyping, research synthesis, and production.
