Reddit, Inc. is seeking a Staff Data Scientist for the Ads Data Science team to advance identity, measurement, and signal quality across advertiser products. You will own high-impact problem spaces, set technical direction, and drive initiatives with engineering, product, and sales partners.

The role emphasizes probabilistic identity modeling, experimental design, and scalable infrastructure to improve bidding efficiency and ROAS. Remote-friendly work in the US is supported.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Statistics, Math, Physics, Economics, or OR.
• MS: 10+ years of data science/Applied science experience; PhD: 6+ years.
• Deep understanding of the ads ecosystem.
• Expertise in measurement and experimentation, lift/attribution.
• Proficiency in statistical programming (Python or R) and SQL.
• Experience with machine learning or optimization techniques.
• Strong skills in experimental design, causal inference, or A/B testing.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication, with cross-functional influence.

Responsibilities

• Design the future of Ads identity with probabilistic models.
• Own lift methodologies and experimentation for Brand/Conversion Lift.
• Maximize signal for predictive performance and ROAS.
• Define ground truth and evaluation frameworks for identity/measurement.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration and mentor others in modeling, experimentation, and measurement.
