Job summary

Reddit, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the Ads Data Science team. You will develop and apply advanced DS models to improve advertiser value and platform performance, collaborating with product managers, engineers, and other data scientists.

The role focuses on large-scale data analysis, causal inference, experimentation design, and building scalable ML solutions that drive measurable impact across Reddit’s ads ecosystem. Strong communication and mentoring skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field with strong statistical foundations.
• 5+ years in industry data science for MS holders; 4+ for PhD holders.
• Deep understanding of ads ecosystem and measurement.
• Proficiency with Python or R and ML libraries.
• Experience with large-scale data processing and SQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Design and apply DS solutions to inform advertiser experience and Reddit ad platform improvements.
• Analyze large-scale datasets to identify trends and insights.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Develop ML models to improve anomaly detection, prediction, and pattern recognition.
• Communicate findings to stakeholders and drive data-driven decisions.
• Stay updated on ML research and best practices—mentor junior scientists.
• Help grow and guide the Ads Data Science team.
