Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking an Attorney to independently manage moderately complex civil litigation for claims involving monetary damages or personal injuries in WA. The role offers a primarily remote setup with required appearances and a strong emphasis on ethics and client relationships.

You will develop strategic litigation plans, mentor junior attorneys, and collaborate across Legal, Claims, and related teams while maintaining high standards of compliance and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in WA in good standing; ability to practice in relevant courts.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage all phases of litigation for moderate to heavy value claims.
• Lead settlement negotiations and participate in hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Develop and execute sophisticated legal strategies for discovery and trial preparation.
• Mentor junior attorneys and staff, contributing to team development.
• Ensure documents and procedures comply with MRPC and regulatory standards.
• Utilize e-discovery tools and data analysis to streamline workflows and reduce costs.
