Job summary

CaptivateIQ is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to set the technical strategy for our Agentic SDK team, enabling AI-powered features across product teams. You will lead architecture decisions with senior leadership, drive platform quality, and shape our long-term AI vision.

You will mentor engineers, drive cross-team alignment, and influence engineering culture as we scale our enterprise AI capabilities. Remote-US role with high impact and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering with progression into staff-level leadership.
• Deep expertise in LLM orchestration and agent frameworks.
• Experience designing MCP integrations and knowledge systems at scale.
• Track record of setting multi-year technical strategy across teams.
• Experience partnering with Directors/VPs to align tech with business objectives.
• Demonstrated mentorship of senior engineers toward staff-level impact.
• Curiosity and continuous learning in AI/LLM space.

Responsibilities

• Set multi-year technical strategy for AI platform development with senior EPD leadership.
• Architect AI systems serving multiple product teams, including LLM orchestration frameworks, MCP infrastructure, and agent patterns.
• Own technical decisions with organization-wide impact where ambiguity exists.
• Define engineering-wide quality standards and best practices for AI development.
• Drive alignment between Agentic SDK team and product teams consuming AI capabilities.
• Coach P4 engineers toward staff-level scope and strategic thinking.
• Represent CaptivateIQ's technical perspective in industry discussions and publications.
