Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required or advanced coursework.
• 3-5 years work experience; nonprofit experience preferred.
• Strong communication and attention to detail required.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills; accounting software experience required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Process payroll via external processor and perform month-end journal entries.
• Reconcile balance sheets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and distribute Form 1099-NEC and 1099-Misc at year-end.
• Support annual audit process and accounting system improvements.
• Respond to vendor, customer, and employee inquiries.
