Job summary

Fair Labor Association (FLA) seeks an experienced Staff Accountant to join the Finance team. The role provides financial and administrative oversight by managing AP/AR and payroll processing, with additional duties in balance sheet reconciliations and international office financial management.

The position can be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States, and the salary range is $59–63K depending on experience. DC area preferred for occasional in-person collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years work experience ideal; nonprofit experience a plus.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) skills and keen attention to detail.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills; accounting software experience required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and in a predominantly remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Process payroll.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Manage financial operations for the international office.
