Job summary

AAFCPAs is seeking an Experienced Staff Accountant for our Outsourced Accounting & Fractional CFO team. The role provides hands-on experience across AP, AR, Payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting for a diverse client portfolio, including nonprofit and for-profit organizations.

You will rotate through practices to learn all aspects and contribute to client service excellence. AAFCPAs supports growth, remote work, and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent training required.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting preferably in public accounting.
• Previous payroll, payables, receivables and reconciliation experience desired.
• Strong technology skills using Microsoft Office 2007 or later (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Experience with accounting systems, QuickBooks (desktop and online versions) and Intacct preferred.

Responsibilities

• Effectively complete rotational assignments in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Reconciliation, Compliance and Financial Reporting.
• Work with Accounting Manager, develop a plan and measurable goals for each rotational assignment.
• Highlights may include: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Reconciliation, Compliance and Financial Reporting.
• Post client invoices and process client vendor invoices for payment.
• Reconcile payroll and ensure accurate year-end reporting.
