Job summary

Parallel ENT & Allergy is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Finance team, reporting to the Controller. You will manage day-to-day accounting across multiple entities, perform general ledger maintenance, and support month-end close and financial reporting.

Core responsibilities include processing journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable support, and ensuring GAAP compliance. Collaboration with HR, Operations, and practice administrators is essential for accurate records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience; internship or public accounting welcome.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software or ERP systems a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication; cross-functional coordination.
• CPA candidacy is a plus and encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and posts journal entries, accruals, prepaid amortizations, and recurring entries across entities.
• Supports month-end and year-end close processes under Controller guidance.
• Performs balance sheet reconciliations and resolves reconciling items.
• Assists in monthly financial statements preparation for multiple entities.
• Processes vendor invoices and coordinates AP/AR activities with admins.
• Reconciles vendor statements and resolves discrepancies timely.
• Ensures GAAP compliance and maintains audit-ready records.
• Supports schedules and documentation for external audits and 5500 reporting.
• Prepares standard financial reports and supports variance analysis with the Senior Financial Analyst.
• Responds to financial inquiries and supports payroll-related postings with HR.
