Job summary

Mobiz IT, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to own the monthly close and related reconciliations in Dynamics 365 Business Central. This remote role supports multiple entities and currencies, ensuring accurate coding and timely reporting.

The candidate will drive end-to-end close tasks, manage journal entries, and perform variance analyses while maintaining documentation and internal controls. A strong GAAP background and multi-entity experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close ownership.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition for contracts.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on Dynamics 365 Business Central experience.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close and journal entries, including revenue deferrals, accruals, and amortization.
• Reconcile bank accounts, corporate cards, lines of credit, and AR/AP aging.
• Prepare intercompany cross-charge entries and reconcile due-to/due-from balances.
• Support tax, compliance, and external audits with schedules and documentation.
• Produce monthly P&L by department and perform variance analysis.
• Document procedures and identify automation opportunities in BC and Power Platform.
