Job summary

Mobiz IT, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to own the recurring transactional accounting and reconciliation that powers the monthly close, working end-to-end in Dynamics 365 Business Central.

You will manage month-end close entries, reconciliations, intercompany activities, cost allocation, and reporting, ensuring accuracy across multi-entity, multi-currency operations and adherence to US GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of month-end close tasks.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition for subscription and multi-period contracts.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on Dynamics 365 Business Central experience as described above.
• Demonstrated accuracy under deadline, with the judgment to elevate rather than assume.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post recurring close journal entries: revenue deferrals, accruals, reversals, and amortization.
• Code entries with full dimension set and attach documentation in Business Central.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts monthly; pursue weekly cadence.
• Prepare intercompany cross-charge entries and reconcile due-to / due-from balances.
• Own payroll allocation and reallocate wages to customer departments and COGS.
• Produce monthly P&L by department and perform variance analysis.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting by compiling actuals and trends.
• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns and assist audits.
