Job summary

RethinkFirst, a market leader in behavioral health technology, is hiring a staff accountant to perform day-to-day accounting, reconcile bank statements, and support month-end close. This remote-friendly role offers flexible scheduling and values accuracy and GAAP compliance.

Based in Nebraska or remote within the US, you will collaborate with auditors and management, utilize Excel for pivot tables and VLOOKUP, and help ensure timely financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance required or preferred.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards.
