Arbor Research Collaborative for Health is seeking a Staff Accountant to support GAAP-based general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and accounts payable in a government contracting environment.

You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and support project accounting, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and contract billing, while collaborating with the Accounting Manager and program teams.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• Minimum 3 years of general ledger or staff accounting experience, including government contractor exposure.
• Hands-on experience with Unanet (GL processing, month-end utilities).
• Working knowledge of FAR Part 31, DCAA audit requirements, and indirect rate structures.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and account reconciliations.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data reconciliation).

Aufgaben

• Post journal entries, accruals, depreciation, and reclassifications per GAAP.
• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations (cash, AR, AP, accruals, fixed assets).
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes.
• Prepare financial analyses and budget-to-actual variance reports.
• Maintain chart of accounts and organizational structure with Accounting Manager.
• Support labor cost distribution, timekeeping, and payroll integration.
• Assist with revenue recognition under ASC 606 and contract billing.
• Prepare 1099 filings and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Coordinate audit requests from DCAA/DCMA and external auditors.
