Arbor Research Collaborative for Health is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and accounts payable in a government contracting environment. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile balances, analyze results, and assist with budget-to-actual reporting under GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of general ledger or staff accounting experience.
• Experience with government contracting or federally funded organizations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot, vlookup, data reconciliation).
• Working knowledge of FAR Part 31, DCAA audit requirements, and indirect rate structures.
• Familiarity with Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) and Single Audit requirements.

• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations (cash, AR, AP, accruals, fixed assets).
• Prepare journal entries, maintain GL and support budget-to-actual reporting.
• Review and process vendor/subcontractor invoices; manage AP accruals.
• Prepare Form 1099 filings and assist audits (DCAA, DCMA, external auditors).
• Support revenue recognition under ASC 606 and project billing across contract types.
• Coordinate with Accounting Manager and program managers to maintain internal controls.
