Job summary

MentorcliQ is seeking a Staff Accountant to execute our accounting policies and processes to ensure we meet our financial goals. You will work closely with our Senior Staff Accountant and CFO to keep books up to date and accurate for quick decision-making and reporting.

The role requires 3+ years of accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, multi-currency reporting, and proficiency with NetSuite and Salesforce CRM. We offer remote work flexibility and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with multi-currency financial reporting and consolidation is preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and maintain customer records
• Enter sales orders, billing schedules, customer contacts, and invoicing requirements into NetSuite
• Handle customer setup, invoice generation and submission, problem solving around invoice generation, and escalating vendor issues to cross-functional leaders
• Drive collections activities, including follow-up messages and escalations to cross-functional leaders
• Manage sales tax calculation and filing to ensure coding accuracy and timely, accurate returns
• Categorize daily banking transactions including customer payments
• Support commission calculations, capitalization, and accounting entries
• Assist with monthly close processes such as preparing and/or reconciling journal entries for revenue recognition, and sales tax payable, and other entries
• Cross-train on payables processes to provide coverage for team members on leave/vacation
• Work with MentorcliQ’s Finance Team to ensure accurate financial statements
• Contribute to efforts to optimize current accounting systems and procedures
• Support annual audit preparations and tax requests
• Assist with maintaining internal controls, establishing and maintaining accurate record-keeping
• Perform other duties as assigned
