Job summary

Knowmadics is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day accounts payable, billing, and cash reconciliation, while preparing accurate entries for review by the Assistant Controller. The role supports financial close, budgets, and special projects, working independently with project teams in a remote environment.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least two years of finance or accounting experience, with strong GAAP knowledge and familiarity with Unanet, WAWF,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Familiarity with GAAP, CAS, and FAR; U.S. government contracting experience is highly important.
• Experience with Unanet, WAWF, and Bill.com is preferred.
• Ability to learn, improve, and implement accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounts payable and billing processes.
• Perform cash reconciliation and support general ledger and project reconciliations.
• Prepare revenue recognition entries with supporting documentation.
• Assist with financial close, audits, and 1099 preparation.
• Set up new organizations and user roles; train employees on timekeeping and expense reporting.
• Support financial statement preparation and budgeting projections.
• Collaborate with project teams in a remote environment.
