Job summary

Supabase, a Postgres development platform, is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join the Service Operations team. You will define SLIs/SLAs, manage the ORR, and drive the incident-to-improvement pipeline across observability, alerting, runbooks, and capacity.

You are a strong communicator who can influence across distributed teams, operate in async environments, and design sustainable on-call practices while reducing toil and enabling teams to own reliability.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in SRE, production engineering, or reliability-focused roles.
Hands-on in defining and operationalizing SLOs/SLIs at scale.
Experience with incident response, postmortem facilitation, and deriving systemic improvements.

Responsibilities

Define meaningful SLIs and SLOs grounded in customer experience with error budgets.
Own and evolve the ORR process for new services and major changes.
Strengthen the incident-to-improvement pipeline and drive systemic fixes.
Act as reliability expert during architecture reviews and resilience design.
Identify and reduce operational toil; advocate for automation.
Design sustainable on-call practices and improve alert quality.
Track org-wide operational maturity and surface remediation gaps.
