Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking an SRE Technical Lead to guide a large-scale government-focused tech initiative. You will lead Kubernetes-based infrastructure, implement Terraform automation, and establish cloud reliability strategies in a fully remote environment.

The role emphasizes mentorship, incident management, and proactive platform enhancements to boost scalability, security, and performance across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in infrastructure, cloud engineering, or SRE.
• Expertise with Kubernetes administration and orchestration.
• Hands-on Terraform and IaC experience.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Security clearance eligibility (Secret).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and support of Kubernetes-based production environments.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
• Establish reliability standards: monitoring, alerts, incident response, DR.
• Collaborate to improve scalability, security, performance.
• Mentor engineers on SRE best practices.
• Drive automation to reduce overhead and improve stability.
