Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for a client in the technology industry in the United States. This fully remote role targets an infrastructure leader with proven experience designing, building, and operating large-scale Kubernetes platforms across hybrid cloud environments.

Responsibilities include architecting and scaling Kubernetes platforms, driving IaC initiatives with Terraform and CloudFormation, and mentoring teams while shaping platform roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Architect and scale Kubernetes platforms supporting mission-critical applications across both on-premises and AWS environments.
• Establish platform engineering standards focused on reliability, automation, performance, and operational excellence.
• Drive infrastructure-as-code initiatives utilizing Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools to improve consistency and scalability.
• Lead root cause investigations for complex Linux, networking, and distributed systems issues while implementing long-term solutions.
• Provide technical mentorship to engineering teams and influence cloud infrastructure strategy and platform roadmaps.
