Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking an SRE- Platform Engineering professional to support a Kubernetes-based platform in regulated environments. This remote role collaborates with senior engineers to enhance reliability, scalability, and compliance while enabling secure, automated infrastructure across on‑prem and AWS.

The candidate will manage Kubernetes clusters, implement IaC, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and help define SLI/SLO metrics to improve platform resiliency and customer experience.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of SRE/DevOps experience in production environments.
• Hands-on Kubernetes administration across on‑prem and cloud.
• Strong Linux, scripting, and IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Experience with CI/CD and deployment automation.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP High or DoD IL5 environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and support Kubernetes clusters across on‑prem and AWS.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and observability of the platform.
• Implement infrastructure as code and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with security teams and application teams to ensure compliance.
• Track reliability metrics (SLIs/SLOs) and optimize incident response.
